On Thursday 22nd March, Prestatyn High school held its annual Awards Evening to recognise the hard work, determination and successes of their outstanding students. In total, over 100 trophies were awarded for a diverse range of academic disciplines and extra-curricular activities, demonstrating the wide variety of achievements within the school.

Special awards were given to acknowledge the wider successes of students. The ‘Fundraiser of the year Award’ was awarded to students of Orion 10 who had fundraised on behalf of Luke Davies, a member of their class who tragically suffered a spinal stroke and is in urgent need of support. They had organised a football tournament, collected donations and personally delivered sponsorship money from a school own clothes day.
The ‘Headteacher’s Award’ was awarded to Naomi Dickens. Mr Pierce, headteacher of Prestatyn High School, dedicated the award to her for her “outstanding commitment to the school.

Out of consideration for the students, please could you ensure if parking or waiting in the school car park between the hours of 9am to 3.30pm, that your engine is turned off and no music is playing whilst in your car as this causes unnecessary noise and disruption to lessons.
